POLL: 73% say gov too powerful

Despite this alarming statistic, this administration is still grabbing power whenever it can. Nearly three quarters of Americans now say that the government has too much power. It's an alarming trend, especially considering most of the power is in the hands of a couple people - one of those being 'the most dangerous man in America' Cass Sunstein. Glenn has details on the power surge on radio today. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

Media countdown to Chelsea's wedding

The media bashed George W. Bush for a relatively extravagant wedding for his daughter Jenna, but they seem to be quite excited for the wedding of Chelsea Clinton. This time they don't seem to mind that the Clintons are spending $500,000 on flowers and $3.2 million overall. Sounds like someone has 'windfall profits' that should be confiscated, to use the words of Hillary Clinton. Glenn has more on radio today ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

Gibbs gaffe #229981

Press Secretary Robert Gibbs tried to attack Rush Limbaugh yesterday saying that he wanted to abandon GM, while the government saved the day. That's an interesting case to make considering Obama was the one who shut down profitable GM dealers for no reason. Gibbs tried to slam Rush and in the process made a ridiculous gaffe, adding to his long list of classics. Glenn has the audio on radio today. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

Christie schools MSNBC

NJ Governor Chris Christie is speaking the truth and punching the left (and the right) with inescapable logic. The Governor went on Morning Joe and the hosts thought they had a nice trap for him, but Christie bluntly shut down the attack. Glenn plays the audio of Christie that quite frankly is nothing less than conservative porn. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

It's a party at the DOJ

Despite being billions of dollars in the hole, the DOJ is spending hundreds of millions of dollars on 'recreation' to fight crime. Glenn has the disturbing details in the latest Beck Talks video blog. WATCH

Silencing The Internet, Obama Could Shut us up?

Silencing the Internet

A new bill has been making its way through the United States Senate and it is controversial... a true tinderbox issue. It is so "hot," in fact, that it is causing consternation and anger on both sides of the political aisle. And it's no
wonder...

The bill in question, when and if passed, will give President Obama, and all future presidents, as well, the power to shut down the Internet for up to four months, perhaps even longer. Known as the "kill switch," the bill was recently approved by a key Senate committee and is ready to move to the floor of the Senate where all members will have an opportunity to vote on it ... to cast a "yea" or "nay" vote.

It's called "The Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act"... and it has been inflaming passions since it first saw the light of day and made its way into committee. Senator Joe Lieberman, (I) Connecticut, has been a powerful advocate of the bill which, if it becomes law, will provide the head of the federal government (the President) with absolute power to shut down the Internet and block incoming Internet traffic from specific countries during "national emergencies."

Clearly, such power in the hands of a single individual (even an American president), can be dangerous and lead to tyranny and/or abuse. It's not difficult to imagine how this power, used improperly, could create serious f ree s peech problems in America.Silencing the Internet

Do you have what it takes to Build An Internet Business?

Do you have what it takes to Build An Internet Business?

Let me ask you, “Do you have what it takes to build an Internet business”?

Just knowing the principles about online marketing won’t do any good if you don't have the patience and persistence to put them to use in your business. It doesn't matter if you can tell me step-by-step in detail exactly how to get top position in the search engines if you never make an effort to actually do it.

It doesn't really matter what you know… it only matters what information you use.

Here are three questions that you really need to ask yourself if you desire to be successful in your own business:

1) Are you consistent in your business?

Many Internet marketing techniques strongly rely on your consistently following them. If you want to build a large e-mail list, that means you have to spend time on it every day or every week. If you want to receive traffic at first sight, you have to get out there and make deals every day trade links, participate in online discussions; work on search engines, etc.

Are you really willing to put forth the necessary effort to build a successful business? Some people are.

Are you?

Let's just break down the notion once and for all that it is easy to jump online and make a ton of money. It isn't. It takes planning. It takes work. It takes doing the right thing day after day. The Internet is NOT “Get Rich Quick.” If you are NOT willing to put forth some effort you don't need to be in this business.

2)Are you Persistent in your Business?

Do you have the patience it takes to build an Internet business? Too many people have heard some of the wonders about almost instant success online and expected it to be like that for everyone.

Let me put that notion to rest right here and now. Yes, some people have come online with just the right product at the right time. Some people made it big rather quickly, but that in no way means they didn't need to take a lot of preparation to get to that point, and that doesn't mean that this happens to everyone.

Most Internet marketers start out online with a little traffic and a few sales, then they aggressively and constantly apply the necessary techniques to build their business every week. Most start part-time and build their income up until they make more money from the Internet than from their regular job.

Most marketers actually fail at first in their businesses. You don't have to be upset if you have failed at your present online presence you are in good company. Most of us have… I know I have. You are only a failure if you give up and quit after you fail.

3)Are You Willing to Learn in Your Business?

Do you know it ALL already? Way too many people I have spoken to blame their failures on line on the market. They went away saying the Internet just doesn't work. I'm here to tell you it does work, if you know how to work with it.

I saw about everything I could find on how to build a successful business online. You should see my shelves in my home office. You will see shelves of marketing information and Internet information. Every step forward in my business is taking place because I learned another key that I could apply in my business didn't come all at one time. It came little by little.

If you already know it all then you are going to keep your business from growing. If you aren't willing to learn and you will stay right where you are now. If you are not willing to be persistent, consistent, and learn in your business and you don't have the right stuff to build a business. Many people don't, but I expect that since you are reading this you are one of those people who do.

If so, I want you to understand that Rome wasn't built in a day, and your website probably won't be either. Apply these characteristics to your business and step-by-step you will start moving to the top. Suggest reading this book. Network marketing

On Today's Program

Context matters

After a tape was released where Shirley Sherrod made seemingly racist statements - the administration immediately terminated her (according to Sherrod) because she would 'be on Glenn Beck tonight' (gee, think you are in Obama's head?). Glenn wouldn't even have covered the story because Sherrod's defense holds up - the full context of the speech was how she learned a lesson about NOT basing things purely on race. Now the story is - why in the world did Obama fire her? Read it here>

On Today's Program

Muslim day at Six Flags: on 9/12

At the very minimum this is one of the worst PR moves of all time. A Six Flags amusement park is having a 'Muslim Family Day' which if that's what they want to do, great! BUT they've decided to have the festivities on September 12th - of ALL days, THIS is the one they pick? What in the world were they thinking? Glenn has the story on radio today. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

Media worse than previously thought

It's fairly common knowledge that the media is wildly liberal, but according to a new report from The Daily Caller it looks like things are much, much worse than even previously thought. So called journalists going the extra mile to cover up scandals damaging to Barack Obama and the Democrats - Glenn has the story on radio today. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

This is so Cloward & Piven

President Obama suddenly has a problem with procedural maneuvering, now that he's on the other end of it. He's trying to extend unemployment benefits and complaining that Republicans have a 'lack of faith' in the American people. That's quite an amazing statement coming from Mr. 'only government' can save us. Glenn has the incredible audio on radio today. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)
